The Mortal Kombat series has always carried an air of mystery, dating back to the first game's novel addition of Reptile, a secret character who could be faced only under very specific conditions. That air has been thicker than usual with the newest installment of the game, Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe.
Beyond the issue of how Midway will land a Superman-friendly T-for-Teen rating without watering down the series' trademark fatalities, there's also been the question of which heroes and villains will be in the game. The publisher answered that question today by revealing the final characters of the full Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe cast.
Rounding out the list for DC will be the despicable duo of the evil genius Lex Luthor and the cosmic tyrant Darkseid, as well as the mercenary antihero Deathstroke. The final additions to the Mortal Kombat half of the game's 22-character roster all date back to the first two games of the series, with original Kombatant Kano joined by the sequel's supreme ruler Shao Kahn and the bladed beast Baraka.
Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe is set for a November release on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The full roster of characters appears below:
